Hello,
We are well into our second week of fundraising for our academic travel fund, and I am reaching out to ask if you can share this donor opportunity with your networks. Our project has raised almost 10% of our overall goal in our first week of fundraising! However, for our academic travel fund to be useful to current and incoming doctoral students, we need to reach our campaign's $10,000 goal. We have 26 days to meet this goal and need your help. If you can share a link to our campaign with your networks or share that you have donated on social media, this will help our efforts tremendously. Research on donor giving has revealed that personal networks and fundraising appeals work. If our donors can share the attached image on your Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, or Instagram pages with the following description, "I'm helping doctoral students at the University of Memphis' School of Urban Affairs and Public Policy achieve their research goals. Help me to assist them in disseminating their research by going to https://momentum.memphis.edu/project/30624 to find out how you can make a tax-deductible gift to this campaign." We at SUAPP would be greatly appreciative. Thank you for donating and sharing our appeal with your networks. Together, we will help our students disseminate their important research findings to important state and national audiences.
Sincerely,
Professor Downey

A $25 dollar gift helps our students to pay for meals and other associated costs for attending an academic conference.
A $50 dollar gift helps to offset the transportation costs associated with conference travel for our students.
A gift at the 100 dollar level helps to offset the cost of conference registration for our students.
Conference fees for students average around $200 per conference nationally. A gift at this level goes far to offset the cost of conference registration fees.
A $500 gift can pay for up to two conference registration fees for our students.
