For most of our student-athletes, the journey to a college degree begins with a signing day celebration complete with a Memphis HAT and ends with the thrill of moving the tassels on their graduation CAP. Hence this program in support of the Tiger Scholarship Fund is called Hat-2-Cap. Ask any former student-athlete at Memphis about the value of their athletic scholarship and you won’t hear a number. Instead, you will hear about how valuable that scholarship still is to their family, to themselves and to their future.
The Hat-2-Cap campaign seeks to raise $150,000 in support of the Tiger Scholarship Fund, which supports the 388 student-athletes that wear Memphis across the front of their jerseys. They represent the University and the greater Memphis community with dignity and honor. Their success is your success and the Tiger Scholarship Fund is the lifeblood of our program.
This past year, the Tigers were ranked in the top-25 nationally for community service, meaning the Tiger Scholarship Fund does more than allow a student-athlete to participate in athletics; it allows them to daily impact the community and the lives of others.
Please support the Tiger Scholarship Fund and share the message. Challenge your friends, family and co-workers to support the Tiger Scholarship Fund and make a positive impact on the lives of our student-athletes and the entire Memphis community. Your contribution is 100% tax deductible.
More About the Tiger Scholarship Fund: The mission of the Tiger Scholarship Fund is to generate funding for student-athlete scholarships. We accomplish these goals through the Tiger Scholarship Fund, the True Blue Society and the M Club. This mission is achieved by cultivating relationships that encourage private giving from those businesses and individuals who share our commitment, passion and vision for Tiger Athletics. By supporting the Tiger Scholarship Fund, you are changing lives and building leaders. Your generosity helps ensure our student-athletes continue to excel on the court and in the classroom.
