The Physical Plant Department of the University of Memphis is charged with the operation and maintenance of the physical facilities, as well as the landscape of the University. More than 300 employees work around the clock to make sure the UofM campus facilities are safe, secure, clean, warm in the winter/cool in the summer, well-maintained and pest-free! The university wouldn’t be able to function without the talent, skills, hard-work and dedication from the staff members in the Physical Plant Department.

Remember when the university was closed due to icy weather? Physical Plant employees were on campus checking for slick walkways and heating problems. Remember all those beautiful TIGERS spread out across campus a few years ago? I remember seeing those tigers moved around from one place to another and then moved again - that was Physical Plant moving those around! Remember when the NCUR came to the UofM? Physical Plant employees were involved in almost every single event whether it was loading/unloading supplies, making sure signage was in place, cutting grass, planting flowers, painting, putting up chairs and tables/taking down chairs and tables, moving equipment, setting up equipment and more. These are just a few examples!

Let them know they are appreciated by making a donation in honor of a Physical Plant Staff Member or the Department as a whole. We have reached our goal, BUT these funds will be used in the future to provide more opportunities to show appreciation. Please pass it on!

She is rarely in the picture because she is always the one behind the camera! Her hours are not 8-4:30, she often works the weekend, into the night and driving back and forth to the Lambuth campus. Her clients are all over campus and so is she!

I hear comments not only about her talent and skill as a photographer, but her attitude and friendly customer service.
