Each year students, through no fault of their own, experience unexpected financial crises. A house fire, death in the family, or a loss of income can be a huge obstacle for anyone to overcome.
The Dr. Rosie Phillips Bingham Student Emergency Fund was established to assist UofM students facing financial hardship that could otherwise interfere with their success at the UofM. The fund provides limited emergency awards to currently enrolled students who experience unexpected or temporary expenses. This fund honors Dr. Bingham’s service as Vice President of Student Affairs at the University of Memphis and recognizes her commitment to care for UofM students.
Unexpected life events, personal crises, mental health struggles, or academic difficulties are all examples of challenges that can interfere with college success. The number of students helped by this emergency fund is limited by the resources available. We welcome donations from faculty, staff, students, families, community members, and other who have the ability. Your generous donation will allow this important support program to remain and grow.
Thank you for supporting the Dr. Rosie Phillips Bingham Student Emergency Fund!
