Our Crowdfunding Groups
The Center for Writing and Communications at the University of Memphis offers consulting support for student’s writing and speaking projects. The CWC supports a campus of [25,000] students with a staff of about a dozen members. In addition to consultations, CWC staff organize outreach events, conduct class visits, and attend university functions. We also collaborate with other departments to build outreach and awareness of our services campus-wide.
Our fundraising goals will go towards these efforts as well as help support the daily functioning of our center. Specifically, we would like to purchase a laptop for consultants to use in our workroom. We will also acquire three additional laptops or desktops for our office space. We would also like to purchase accessibility tools that will be available for client use.
Consultants will benefit by receiving new materials that will help them complete their tasks with the highest level of efficiency and professionalism. Students will directly benefit through the expanded program offerings made possible by our new technology. Your donation will help the CWC serve our students and clients with reliable, up-to-date technology.
