Giving Tuesday is an international movement and day of generosity that falls on the first Tuesday after Black Friday and Cyber Monday each year. The idea of Giving Tuesday is that many people 'get' on Black Friday and Cyber Monday - so what if people 'gave' on Giving Tuesday. Many know that you can give in a variety of ways: giving money for charitable causes, giving your time to volunteer and serve your community, or by giving physical items to those in need.
We encourage our fellow Tigers and UofM supporters to participate in this international day of giving however they can. One of the easiest and quickest ways to show your generosity is by making a donation here on MomentUM to one of the funds listed on the right or one of our crowdfunding projects. If you are interested in making a donation but the fund you would like to support is not listed, we encourage you to give through the UofM's main giving page.
If you are interested in giving your time by volunteering or serving in the Memphis community then we encourage you to visit the Center for Service Learning and Volunteerism's website. Here you can learn how to serve with other UofM community members and how you can contact their staff directly if you have questions or need assistance. If you are interested in giving items to students in need on the main or Lambuth campus then we invite you to please visit the Tiger Pantry's website for main campus or contact Lambuth Student Services.
