Our Crowdfunding Groups
The University of Memphis Spirit Squads consists of the cheer team, pom squad, and mascots, all of which are phenomenal ambassadors of the U of M. From the Liberty Bowl to the FedEx Forum, you can find members of the Spirit Squad proudly cheering on our Tigers. While the Spirit Squad is found at nearly every home athletic event, they also prepare for their own athletic competition throughout the season through rigorous training and extensive practices. Both the cheer team and pom squad are nationally recognized at their competition and have won multiple national titles. When not practicing or cheering on our Tigers, Spirit Squad members can be found volunteering for different organizations throughout the Memphis community, such as St. Jude and events through the American Heart Association. Even with the combination of being at most home athletic events, practicing intensely for their own competition, and going out in the community for appearances, the Spirit Squads excellent in the classroom and maintain an overall GPA that is above and beyond, considering their devotion to their sport.
Each year, the Spirit Squad must fundraise money for uniforms, game megaphones, signs, competition choreography, costumes, and music. The success of the Spirit Squad is partially accredited to anyone who supports us in anyway, but particularly those who support us financially. With your donation, the Spirit Squads will be able to compete at their singular competition of the season, where they are highly reputable and respected by multiple other universities. By supporting the Spirit Squads, you are not only supporting one of the biggest faces of the UofM, but you are also helping the Memphis community. We are so thankful for the support we receive and feel it is only best to give back to our community through our passion of our sport and the university. As always, thank you and Go Tigers Go!
Give $7, or any amount that ends in “7” in honor of the seven national championships the UofM Cheerleading squad has won.
In honor of the 14 National Championships the Pom Squad has won – or round up to $15 for good luck in bringing home number 15.
In honor of the first year, 1986, the UofM Pom Squad won their first National Championship.
In honor of the first year, 1984, the UofM Cheerleading team won their first National Championship.
Your donation of $100, or any amount, will help cover expenses of Costumes and uniforms for the Spirit Squads. Costume/Uniform budget = $5,000
Your donation of $250, or any amount, will help cover expenses of choreography and music for the Spirit Squads. Choreography & Music budget = $10,000
Your donation of $500, or any amount, will help cover expenses of air travel, hotel, and meals for the Spirit Squads. Travel budget = $10,000
Your donation of $1,000 will cover all expenses to send one Spirit Squad member to nationals.
