The Financial Planning Association of Greater Memphis (FPA) wishes to match contributions by members of the organization to support the Andrew Wray Memorial Scholarship at the University of Memphis. FPA will match dollar for dollar up to $2500 for the scholarship.
The Andrew M. Wray III Memorial Scholarship was established by Andrew’s loved ones in 1994 to honor his memory and extraordinary work within the Memphis financial planning community. Andrew possessed a great passion for ensuring that students of the University of Memphis Fogelman College of Business and Economics had a meaningful opportunity to learn about a vocation that he loved dearly. Andrew understood that the profession of financial planning is far from an exact science. Successful planners must get to know clients as unique individuals in order to make wise financial decisions. The art of this part of the profession is most often learned through fellowship and community. A talented financial planner, Andrew was also heavily involved in professional industry organizations, including the Financial Planning Association of Greater Memphis, which continues to promote Andrew’s vision of student engagement and achievement. By partnering with the University of Memphis, the Association promotes and grows the Andrew M. Wray III Memorial Scholarship, as well as offering access to information and mentorship opportunities for each scholarship recipient.
