To date, the University of Memphis Lambuth Campus has fielded 20+ requests from students who have been furloughed or lost hours and now need help staying in their housing, buying books for summer courses, paying for food, and keeping their gas/utilities on or their car note paid.
Your donations are allowing us to help these students get the support they need in the gap.
A word from Dean Reddick-
Part of what I have experienced at UofM Lambuth in the few years I have served as the Dean of the Lambuth campus is the love everyone has of Lambuth, whether it was fifty years ago or last week that they attended. Our students overcome the odds every day and face challenges many did not have while attending college. As everyone is aware, there are times when we all need a shoulder, someone to listen, or someone to help, and that’s why we created the Jeni Stephens emergency fund. We want to be there for our students to help them and encourage them on to graduation so we can count them among that loving alumni group for many years to come so they know they will always have their Lambuth home to come back to. I’m so honored to get to serve with a wonderful and caring faculty and staff here at the UofM Lambuth campus and we are committed to serving our students for many generations to come, just like previous faculty and staff have done.
Thank you all for your generous support of our students at the Lambuth Campus.
In the first 24 hours we raised $3,876, which includes the match from our generous Lambuth Alum donor! Let’s keep up the momentum by sharing our project on your social media page by clicking on the buttons above. Don’t forget to use #stilldrivenstilldoing.
