The University of Memphis's NSSLHA chapter has been running the MidSouth Conference on Communicative Disorders since 1970. The students are responsible for organizing, developing and running the conference annually. It is an excellent opportunity for them to develop their leadership and organizational skills. It also provides a diverse high quality range of CEU offerings for professionals in the region. Help us keep going through the next 50 years!

Mid-South 2000's

50 years of Mid-South!

The 2000's was quite a decade. Low rise jeans AND hip hop! Reality TV, Kindles, YouTube, and Facebook all took hold in the 00s. We also got Wikipedia, which is critical to today's instant access culture (and still a headache for professors). We became the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders instead of Audiology and Speech Pathology. What do you remember from the 00s?

We need your help to keep operating one of the oldest and longest running student-led conferences in the country, the Mid-South Conference on Communicative Disorders.

Since 1970, 10,000+ clinicians from around the region and the nation have traveled to Memphis to earn CEU's and stay up-to-date on research and practice innovations in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. Furthermore, thousands of CSD students at the University of Memphis have benefited from the leadership experiences and connections they have gained through running the conference.

Your donation will empower the Memphis NSSLHA (National Student Speech Language and Hearing) chapter to keep hosting this wonderful event. Let's make sure the conference runs another 50 years!
