SVBA Veteran Crisis Relief Fund

Hi. My name is Patrick Crowder and I'm a Veteran Business Student attending the University of Memphis. Please read about our cause. Watch the short video and consider donating to our Crisis Fund and please share this with others who you think will be interested in helping. Our goal is to raise a minimum of $3000.00. All funds raised below or above our target goal will support the SVBA Veterans Crisis Relief Fund.

Any money you donate is 100% tax deductible and all money will go towards our student group’s project!

The SVBA Veterans Crisis Relief Fund will be used to support veterans when other funds are not available for housing, food shortages, and other forms of emergency support.  These types of crises can impact employability as well as overall mental health and well-being. Veterans can easily find themselves falling short on funds that can lead to financial hardships and crisis.

There are situations where Student Veterans find themselves and their families in a crisis situation. Crisis even means thinking about or committing suicide. We want to be able to help resolve a crisis before it gets to its worst level. We aren't asking for a hand out but only a helping hand up.

We recently found ourselves supporting a Student Veteran in need, and found that local social services and crisis plans across the campus were highly limited and not sufficient to get this student on his feet. Private donors helped this Veteran overcome a crisis when he was at his lowest. Now, that Veteran has slowly gotten back up on his feet and is very thankful and contributing back to others. This tremendous support to a student veteran in crisis is what motivated this fund raising event. We want to be able to help when our Student Veterans are in a crisis.

We’ve been working on this campaign for a long time now and I’d love for you to be a part of it. Please consider donating today.
