Strengthen Our Community And Support The Next Generation Of Students

The “More Than Homecoming” fundraising project is a call to action for 1,000 UofM black alumni to give $100 each in support of key initiatives that will strengthen our community and support the next generation of students. These funds will directly benefit career development, scholarships, programs and events and the digitization of our collective story. By contributing to these areas, we will create lasting opportunities for current students, provide resources for their academic and professional success and preserve the rich legacy of black alumni at the University of Memphis for future generations.

Raising these funds is crucial to empowering black students at the university and ensuring they have the tools, resources and opportunities they need to thrive. In an era where access to financial support, career networks and mentorship is vital to success, this campaign will create a lasting impact that helps bridge gaps in opportunity. Additionally, digitizing the stories and contributions of black alumni will help preserve our history, making it accessible to all and inspiring future students to dream bigger and achieve more. Your support helps build a legacy that is “More than Homecoming”—it’s about building a future where every black student at the University of Memphis has the resources and support they need to succeed.
